66-TAHRİM Adını Hz. Peygamber'in bazı yiyecekleri kendisine yasakladığını anlatan birinci âyetten alır. Medine'de nâzil olmuştur, 12 (on iki) âyettir.   1- Ey Peygamber! Eşlerinin rızasını arayarak Allah'ın sana helâl kıldığı şeyi niçin sen kendine haram ediyorsun? Allah çok bağışlayan çok esirgeyendir. 2- Allah size yeminlerinizi çözmeyi meşrû kılmıştır. Allah sizin sahibinizdir. O bilendir, hikmetle yönetendir. 3- Peygamber, eşlerinden birine gizlice bir söz söylemişti. Fakat eşi, o sözü başkalarına haber verip Allah da bunu Peygamber'e açıklayınca, Peygamber (eşine) bir kısmını bildirmiş bir kısmından da vazgeçmişti. Peygamber bunu ona haber verince eşi: "Bunu sana kim söyledi?" dedi. Peygamber "Bilen, her şeyden haberi olan Allah bana söyledi." dedi. 4- Eğer ikiniz de Allah'a tevbe ederseniz ne iyi, çünkü kalpleriniz eğildi. Ve eğer Peygamber'e karşı birbirinize arka olursanız (bilin ki) onun dostu ve yardımcısı Allah, Cibrîl ve müminlerin iyileridir. Bunun ardından melekler de ona arkadır. 5- Eğer o sizi boşarsa belki de Rabbi ona, sizden daha hayırlı, kendisini Allah'a teslim eden, inanan, gönülden itaat eden, tevbe eden, oruç tutan dul ve bakire eşler verir. 6- Ey inananlar! Kendinizi ve ailenizi bir ateşten koruyun ki onun yakıtı insanlar ve taşlardır. Onun başında gayet katı, şiddetli, Allah'ın kendilerine buyurduğuna karşı gelmeyen ve emredildikleri şeyi yapan melekler vardır. 7- (İnkâr edenlere): "Ey kâfirler! Bugün özür dilemeyin. Siz ancak işlediklerinizin cezasını çekeceksiniz." (denilir.) 8- Ey iman edenler! Samimi bir tevbe ile Allah'a dönün. Umulur ki Rabbiniz sizin kötülüklerinizi örter, Peygamber'i ve onunla birlikte iman edenleri utandırmayacağı günde Allah sizi, içlerinden ırmaklar akan cennetlere sokar. Çünkü onların nurları, önlerinde ve yanlarında koşar da, "Ey Rabbimiz! Nurumuzu tamamla, bizi bağışla, çünkü sen her şeye kâdirsin." derler. 9- Ey Peygamber! Kâfirler ve münafıklarla savaş, onlara karşı sert davran. Onların varacağı yer cehennemdir. O gidilecek yer, ne de kötüdür! 10- Allah, inkâr edenlere, Nuh'un karısı ile Lut'un karısını misal verdi. Bu ikisi, kullarımızdan iki salih kulun (nikahı) altında idiler, onlara hıyanet ettiler. (Kocaları,) Allah'tan hiçbir şeyi onlardan savamadı. (Onlara): "Haydi girenlerle birlikte siz de ateşe girin!" denildi. 11- Allah, inananlara da Firavun'un karısını örnek gösterdi. O şöyle demişti: "Rabbim! Bana yanında cennetin içinde bir ev yap, beni Firavun'dan ve onun (kötü) işinden kurtar. Ve beni şu zalim toplumdan kurtar!" 12- Irzını korumuş olan, İmrân kızı Meryem'i de Allah örnek gösterdi. Biz, ona ruhumuzdan üfledik ve Rabbinin sözlerini ve kitaplarını tasdik etti. O, gönülden itaat edenlerdendi.

66. Holding (Something) to be Forbidden (At-Tahrím) Revealed after the Hijrah. This chapter has 12 verses. In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.   1. O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee, thou seekest to please thy consorts? But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 2. Allah has already ordained for you, the expiation of your oaths (in some cases): and Allah is your Protector, and He is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom. 3. When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and passed over a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who is the Knower, the Aware." 4. If ye two turn in repentance to Allah, your hearts are indeed so inclined; but if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,- and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up. 5. It may be, if he divorced you (all), that Allah will give him in exchange consorts better than you,- who submit (their wills), who believe, who are devout, who turn to Allah in repentance, who worship (in humility), who fast,- previously married or virgins. 6. O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded. 7. (It will be said), "O ye Unbelievers! Make no excuses this Day! Ye are being but requited for all that ye did!" 8. O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: in the hope that your Lord will remove from you your evil deeds and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things." 9. O Prophet! Strive hard against the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be harsh with them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed). 10. Allah sets forth, for an example to the Unbelievers, the wife of Noah and the wife of Lüt: they were (respectively) under two of our righteous servants, but they betrayed their (husbands), and they profited nothing before Allah on their account, but were told: "Enter ye the Fire along with (others) that enter!" 11. And Allah sets forth, as an example to those who believe the wife of Pharaoh: Behold she said: "O my Lord! Build for me, in nearness to Thee, a mansion in the Garden, and save me from Pharaoh and his doings, and save me from those that do wrong"; 12. And Mary the daughter of Ìmrán, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).
